  • 1 cup maida
  • 1 cup sooji
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
  • as required White oil to fry
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2-3 cardamom
  • Few strands of saffron

Instructions

  • First make the syrup-
  • Take a saucepan, add sugar, water, cardamon and saffron, bring it to boil.
  • After boiling 5 minutes let the syrup cool at room temperature.
  • Now making malpua
  • Add sooji, maida, sugar, fennel seeds together in a bowl. Now add milk and make a batter not so thick or thin.
  • Take a pan, add oil in it, pour one spoon full of batter and fry both sides till golden brown
  • Now arrange the malpuas in plate and pour sugar syrup over it.
