  • Cumin Seeds Few
  • Mustard Blend Few
  • Asafoetida (Hing) to sprinkle on top Pinch
  • Turmeric to add colour Pinch
  • Curry leaves to add taste Few
  • Add hot spice mixture to add flavour Pinch
  • Clarified Butter (Ghee) 1 tsp
  • Salt Pinch
  • Red Lintels (Masoor Daal) 100 gms
  • Rice (Basmati) 100 gms
  • Potatoes 2
  • Onions 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Coriander leaves Few

Instructions

  • PART I - Soak lintels for 10 minutes Soak Basmati Rice for 10 minutes
  • PART II - Tempering (Tadka) : In a cauldron(a round metal pot - Kadhai) Add cooking oil, Cumin Seeds, Mustard seeds, asafoetida, Hot spice, Curry leaves, Onion , Tomato, Potato, Turmeric, Salt and fry it till it turns golden yellow. Then, add Basmati
  • Serve this hot guffy healthy easy to go Khichdi with salad adding taste at prime!

Notes/Tips

Serve it hot with coriander leaves to add a healthy pinch of flavor dressing it up with salad.
