- Soak moong dal for 2-3 hours
- Drain all the water and grind coarsely, Keep aside.
- Dissolve saffron in 2 tsp warm milk
- Melt ghee in a pan, add ground moong dal, stir continuously till golden brown.
- In a thick bottom pan combine milk and water . Add prepared dal when it gets warm. Stir well.
- Add sugar, cook in low flame till ghee separates.
- Lastly add dissolved saffron and cardamom powder, mix well, cook for a while.
- Now add nuts.
- Tasty moong dal Halwa is ready to serve. Serve warm.
