Namak para, also nimki or nimkin is a crunchy savoury snack eaten in the Indian Subcontinent. It is also referred as Mathri sometimes in some parts of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Namak para is ribbon-like strips of pastry delicately seasoned with ajwain and cumin seeds in pure ghee or any oil.

Ingredients

  • Maida 1 cup
  • Refined Oil 1 tablespoons
  • Salt 1 teaspoons

Instructions

  • Take 1 cup maida , then add 1 tablespoon oil in it.then add 1 spoon salt and mix it well
  • Now make a tight Dough with adding some Water.after that Keep it for 20 minutes
  • After that make small pedas and roll It. Now Cut into shape
  • Now heat the oil in the pan and do not Overheat.
  • When the oil is hot, add salt to it and let the gas cook slowly.
  • Cook the gas slowly so that it does not remain raw. Cook until the salt turns golden brown.
  • Turn off the gas when it turns golden brown and enjoy the food. You can eat it with chutney if you Want.

Notes/Tips

Cook it slowly on the gas And if you want to add celery, then you can add celery after oil
