- Wash samak rice and keep aside.
- In a pan add ghee, cumin seeds and raw peanuts. Roast on low flame for a minute.
- Add diced potato, green chilli, curry leaves. Cook for a minute and then add salt as per taste.
- Add the washed samak rice and roast for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 2 cups water, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
- Switch off flame after 10 minutes. Keep it covered and open after 5 minutes.
- Samak rice/pulao is ready to serve.
