- Mix all the dry ingredients
- Cream the butter and sugar.
- Add eggs 1 at a time. Add vanilla essence.
- In a bowl mix maida, baking powder, baking soda and keep aside.
- Add half of the dry ingredients to the egg mixture along with half milk. Mix the batter.
- Add the remaining half of dry ingredients and milk. Do not over mix.
- Preheat oven at 180 degrees for 10mins.
- Pour mixture in a 8" cake tin lined with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes. Or till a toothpick inserted comes clean.
- Cool the cake after baking and add your favourite frosting of whipped cream and decorations.
- Make flowers with royal icing
