Ingredients

  • Whole black gram 1 cup
  • Salt as per taste
  • Pepper powder 2 teaspoons
  • Oil 1/2 litres

Instructions

  • Soak black gram for 1 hour.
  • Drain water and grind coarsely without adding water.
  • Add salt and pepper powder to Batter. Divide batter into 5 portions. Take one portion and flatten on wet cloth by applying water to hands.
  • Heat oil in kadai and deep fry vada in low flame. Fry them till they are crisp.

Notes/Tips

Don't over soak Dal. Thickness of vada should not be thick or thin.
