Ingredients

  • Refined wheat flour 170 gms
  • Mawa 100 gms
  • Butter 120 gms
  • Condensed milk 100 gms
  • Curd 120 gms
  • Castor sugar 100.gms
  • Thandai powder 2 tbsps
  • Dry fruits mixture 2 tbsps
  • Slivered Almond n Pistachios 2 tbsps
  • Cardamom powder 2 pinches
  • Baking powder 2 tsps
  • Baking soda 1 tsp
  • Drinking soda 100 ml

Instructions

  • Sieve refined flour, baking powder and baking soda (dry ingredients) together
  • Cream butter and sugar together.
  • Add curd and condensed milkand mix well.
  • Add cardamom powder, Thandai powder and dry fruits mix to the wet ingredients and mix well. Add the drinking soda to this mixture.
  • Mix the dry n wet ingredients using cut and fold method.
  • Grease an aluminium container with butter n preheat the cooker for 10 minutes. Make sure you remove the ring n whistle of the cooker. Add the cake batter to the container. Tap 4 - 5 times to remove the air bubbles if any
  • Garnish the cake batter with slivered almonds and pistachios or dry fruit mix.
  • Put the container in the cooker and bake for 30 - 40 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the cake. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is done. Else bake for another 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Remove the container and cover for 10 - 15 minutes for cooling.
  • After cooling, remove from the container.
  • Decorate with slivered almond and pistachios and serve.
