  • Veggies:
  • American Corn 1/4 cup
  • Shelled Peas 1/4 Cup
  • Broccoli Florets 1/2 Cup
  • Carrots 1/4 cup Dices
  • Potato 1/2 Cup Dices
  • For Cheese Sauce:
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Refined Flour 2 tbsp
  • Milk 2 cups
  • Cream 1 cup
  • Black pepper Powder 1 tsp
  • Chilli Flakes 1/2 tsp
  • Dried Thyme 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 Tsp
  • Cheddar Cheese 100 gm grated

Instructions

  • Blanch the vegetables 3-4 minutes in boiling water. Drain and refresh in cold water. place in a colander to drain.
  • For The Cheese Sauce: Melt the butter in a pan. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add the milk , stirring vigorously to prevent any lumps from being formed. Cook on a low heat till the sauce starts to thicken.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the cream,salt, pepper and thyme or mixed herbs. Add half of the cheese and stir to mix. Return to the heat and cook for another 2 minutes' to allow the cheese to melt.
  • Preheat an oven to 180°c. Arrange the vegetables in a 6 inch square or round oven proof dish. Pour the sauce over the vegetables. Cover with the remaining grated cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes till the cheese melts and is bubbly on top.

Notes/Tips

Can Be Served With Garlic Bread Or Garlic Naan.
